If you have visited any Accounting and Finance Career Connections Expos at Commonwealth University, there is a near certain chance you have run into a recruiter from Herbein & Company; and an even better one that their recruited arrived ready to hire Commonwealth grads

The firm is a steady presence at expos, which not only provide networking opportunities for both students and employers, but it also provides students with a chance to practice relationship building and become familiar with different firms before they graduate. Through the company's attendance, Felicia Robbins, Talent & Culture Manager for Herbein & Company, has built strong connections with both students and their faculty and says that watching so many students make the transition from student to professional is one of the most rewarding aspects of the partnership.

"One of the most memorable experiences as an employer partner has been watching students we first met on campus grow into valued members of our team," explained Robbins. "It's rewarding to see their journey from classroom to career and know that we played a role in supporting that transition.

By investing in such a partnership with the campus community, Robbins says the company is able to support the next generation of professionals and provide meaningful career opportunities within Herbein & Company. She also stresses that company staff have consistently been impressed by the skills and professionalism of CU hires, and their readiness to contribute is a measure of the value they bring to the table."

"Their ability to connect, communicate confidently, and show preparedness make a lasting impression," said Robbins. "I would encourage other alumni volunteers and employer partners to get involved because the value of connecting with these students is tremendous. It's a rewarding experience to give back while also strengthening your own organization with talented future professionals.

"We've also appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with faculty, who help us connect with students and strengthen our partnership," continued Robbins. "These experiences highlight the positive impact of investing in the next generation of professionals and building long-term relationships with the campus community."
