Banner (OneSIS) is Commonwealth University's Student Information System, where students register for courses, check and accept financial aid, check and pay bills, view grades, and apply for graduation when you are a senior.

An innovative way to prepare for an upcoming interview. This online system combines training and practice to help improve your interview technique and build your confidence. Looking for interview feedback? Send your completed interview recordings to your career coach directly from the system!
Students on all three campuses will be able to order books online and will be delivered to Lock Haven and Mansfield for pick up during the first few weeks.

Graduation and commencement are often used interchangeably, but there's a subtle difference. Graduation is the official act of completing your degree - meeting all the requirements. Commencement, however, is the celebratory ceremony honoring graduates' achievements. It's like the victory lap after crossing the finish line.

Coursedog is an academic operations platform. The all-in-one platform is used to support student-centric scheduling, building efficient curriculum processes, creating online catalogs and handbooks, and digitizing forms and workflows.
CU Experience is the new portal - gateway - for accessing Banner at Commonwealth University. CU Experience provides a single-entry point for accessing most CU systems used by students including DegreeWorks, Student Self-Service, CU Succeed, and Brightspace.
CU Succeed is Commonwealth University’s student success platform that makes communication easier between students and faculty/staff/advisors, and others in your "success network". It also provides easy access resources such as tutoring, counseling, and academic & career coaching right at our students’ fingertips. Students can also "raise your hand" in the system to ask a question if you're not sure where to start looking for answers.

Access reports and dashboards when you need them, and on the device that works best for you.
Commonwealth University has organized reporting into "operational" versus "official" reporting, which are described below and include some key links:
Operational Reporting — These are reports generated from the live student information system to help support day-to-day operations. They may include current student lists, course enrollments, list of those who have applied to graduate, etc. Operational reporting is handled by the Registrar’s Office and IT/Administrative Applications and includes reports from Banner or Argos. Requests for new reports can be sent to registrar@commonwealthu.edu.
Official Reporting — This is data that Institutional Research captures as of official reporting dates that should be used to reporting to accreditors and other "official" reports shared with outside entities. Institutional Research has published a series of dashboards to give access to these data (see links below). Requests for new dashboards or new tabs can be sent to jabplana@commonwealthu.edu.
- University Official Data — Official data as reported to IPEDS and the state system including enrollment, retention, graduation rates, HR, etc.
- Program Official Data — Official program data for Program Review and external accreditors include program enrollment, completions, retention, graduation rates, etc.

Access to thousands of expert-led courses taught by industry experts, and instructional videos designed to improve skills in a wide range of business, technical, and creative topics. The My Mediasite Portal is a comprehensive video platform available to all users to record and/or upload media content. It is integrated with Zoom and Brightspace.
Check your email in Outlook, created and save documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and download Office 365 to your personal computer.
With MyHousing Self-Service, you'll have access to sign your online housing agreement, answer personal information questions, request roommates, select a dining plan and, if eligible, choose your housing assignment for the next academic year during the housing selection process.

Nuventive Solutions Premier (formerly Tracdat or Nuventive Improve) is the newest planning and assessment platform used by academic programs. The Program Assessment Review – Nuventive User Guide provides guidance on using Nuventive to meet reporting expectations, and more information is available on the Program Review web page.
Commonwealth University has appointed Parchment as the designated agent for processing and sending official transcripts on behalf of the University. For information on how to order a transcript, visit Commonwealth University's Official Transcript page.
Most student research or grants activity requires partnership with a faculty mentor. If you have ideas or questions but do not yet have a faculty mentor please contact the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and we can assist you.
- Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) — Support, resources, and guidance for grants research, scholarship, and creative activities.
- Institutional Review Board (IRB) — Studies involving human subjects require review and approval by the IRB before work can begin.
- IRBManager — Portal Internal system used to submit human subject studies for IRB review.
- Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) — Oversees all non-human animal research conducted on campus.
- Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) — Those planning to conduct human subjects research must complete either the Biomedical Research Investigators or Social and Behavioral Research Investigators course before submitting a study to the IRB. Those planning to conduct research with animals must complete the Working with the IACUC Course before submitting a protocol to the IACUC.
- Commonwealth University Grants — ORSP administers internal funding opportunities and competitions through the InfoReady system for students and faculty to support their research, scholarly, and creative activities. This includes the URSCA program listed below and Graduate Student Travel and Research Grants.
- Grants awarded by any entity (private, state, or federal) outside of Commonwealth U — ORSP collaborates with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Research Institute (IUP RI) to support the application process and post-award services for all external grants. Submit the required Notice of Intent form on IUP RI’s website as soon as an external funding opportunity has been identified. IUP RI’s team of grant specialists will then assist with proposal and budget development, securing approvals, and final submission to the funding agency.
- Undergraduate Research — CU’s Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity (URSCA) program provides selected students with paid summer employment on their research projects under faculty mentorship. Students may also have opportunities to attend research conferences and symposia in their disciplines as well as present results of their research at the annual COPLAC Northeast Regional Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity Conference.

Commonwealth University's Testing Centers provide national, graduate, professional certification and licensure, proctored exams and university assessments to students and regional examinees in a professional, secure and accessible environment.
