Business majors expand professional network at national FBLA conference

LAS VEGAS — In a city known for high stakes and bold ambition, Commonwealth University–Bloomsburg’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter rose to the occasion to compete for national honors and showcase the strength of the Zeigler College of Business on one of the biggest collegiate business stages.

Their achievements at the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference in Las Vegas earlier this summer underscored both the talent of Bloomsburg’s emerging business leaders and the momentum driving the chapter forward.

Chapter president Mackenzie Coffman, a senior information technology and analytics major, said the experience elevated their confidence and professional growth.

“The (conference) provided our members with an incredible opportunity to compete in their respective events, network with students from across the country, and participate in workshops focused on leadership and professional development,” said Coffman, adding the chapter’s success reflects the strong support of ZCOB. “The university's investment in student success and professional development makes opportunities like these possible and empowers students to grow as leaders, professionals, and ambassadors for our institution.”

This year, seven business majors represented Bloomsburg’s FBLA on the national stage:

• Anna Elliott, a junior business administration management major, Kyla Groller, a senior business administration marketing major, and Olivia Whittaker, a senior professional sales and marketing major, presented Bloomsburg’s State of the Chapter presentation, showcasing our chapter's accomplishments and initiatives throughout the academic year.
• Jarielys Nunez, a sophomore business administration management major, competed in Customer Service Role Play and the Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition.
• Olivia Whittaker and Mackenzie Coffman competed in the Marketing and Sales Case Competition.
• Kyla Groller also competed in the Project Management exam.
• Logan Schoen, a senior business administration finance major, competed in Organizational Behavior and Retail Management, earning eighth place in the nation.
• Natalie Miller ’26, a recent business administration marketing graduate and outgoing chapter president, competed in Job Interview and Future Business Executive, earning fourth place in the nation.

“As I begin my final year and continue serving as chapter president, I’m excited to build on this momentum and continue expanding the impact of our chapter,” Coffman said. “We’re looking forward to another successful year of leadership, service, and professional development.”
