Dr. Francis “Skip” Fennell ’66, a professor emeritus at McDaniel College, had an education lab on the school’s campus named in his honor.

Deb (Schenck) Euculano ’77, director of alumni programs and special events at the Arkansas Alumni Association, congratulates William “Bill” McComas ’76 for receiving the Faculty Distinguished Achievement Award for Research at the annual Alumni Awards Celebration.

Chris Albright ’83 received the Chuck Daly Lifetime Contributor Award from the Punxsutawney Sports Hall of Fame for his long-time teaching and athletic training career at Punxsutawney Area High School (1984 to 2021), including his status as the school’s first certified athletic trainer and the creator of its athletic training program.
Col. Ed Rothstein (US Army Ret.) ’83 was named Secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families by Gov. Wes Moore, effective Aug. 1, 2025.
Zane Patalive ’86 celebrated the 15th anniversary as copartner of the local Managed Service Provider (MSP) company, Real IT Care.
Kevin O’Dea ’87 was named special teams assistant for the New York Jets, joining the team for the second time in his career. He was most recently the New Orleans Saints’ assistant special teams coach from 2016-18.

Kimberly Culkin ’96 was appointed director of student services by the New Milford Board of Education. Culkin has been working as chief of talent management and director of special services for Bristol Public Schools since 2019. She previously served as director of special services and director of human resources for the Region 14 school district from 2010 to 2019.

Douglas Madenford ’02 announced his sixth publication: Heemkumme – Homecoming (Masthof Press), a new collection of 23 poems written in both English and in Pennsylvania Dutch.
David Williamson ’03/’12M was named the Region III Athletic Director of the Year by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Director’s Association at the association’s 57th annual banquet in March.
Brandon Mendoza ’08 was appointed CEO by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership board of directors. Brandon brings more than 13 years of experience leading economic development initiatives and chamber activities for large, membership-based organizations.
Jeffrey Eaton ’09 joined the Virginia Tech football program in May as associate director of strength and conditioning. Eaton spent the last three years as assistant strength and conditioning coordinator/internship coordinator for football at the University of Miami.

Jon Gerardi ’10 received four Keystone Media Awards for his work as sports editor at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette newspaper, including statewide awards for sports page design, feature page design, and headline writing. He has won seven Keystone Media Awards over the past three years.
Riley Guitierrez ’18 was hired as an officer with the Northern Lancaster Regional Police Department. He previously worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Berks County from 2020-2024, before graduating from the Reading Police Academy in December 2024.
Hannah (Bell) Lagana ’19 received two awards in the population under 25k category from the annual Virginia Recreation and Parks Society Conference, including Best New Program for her initiative “Wiggle Worms” and Best New DEI Initiative for the “Free Therapeutic Recreation Program” that she created.

Alexa Bickel ’22 was named manager of the Clinton County Conservation District following a unanimous approval by the Clinton County Commissioners.
In Memoriam
Guy A. Graham ’63
Lock Haven football standout and former Trustee Guy A. Graham ’63 passed away on Jan. 6, 2025, at age 83. Graham’s time as a Lock Haven State College student, including his role on the Bald Eagles’ 1960 championship football team, made a tremendous impact on his life, leading to a lifelong relationship with the university. After a 14-year career teaching elementary, junior high, and high school students and coaching the Clearfield Bison football team, he became one of the founders of Lock Haven University’s Clearfield Campus. From 1996 to 2020, Graham also served as a member and chair of the Lock Haven University Council of Trustees.
