The Geography Minor provides students with an understanding of the physical and human/cultural world from a spatial and temporal perspective, and an ability to understand interaction between the two.

Professor in Environmental, Geographical and Geological Sciences
Students analyze and generate maps and charts for geospatial applications, and have the flexibility to focus on either natural or human landscape analysis through the availability of a range of electives.
Courses and Curriculum
Geography Minor Requirements
- 18 credits required for minor completion
- Students should meet with their academic advisor each semester and use Degree Works to monitor their individual progress toward completion of the minor.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate comprehension of fundamental geographical concepts.
- Apply appropriate field and lab methodology in geographical investigations.
- Demonstrate ability to construct a map with all relevant mapping elements.
- Communicate the results of a study in both written and oral formats.
