Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg's annual 24-hour All In Day of Giving fundraiser generated a record-breaking $453,862 in support of students, academic programs, athletic teams, scholarships and hands-on learning opportunities.
More than 2,600 alumni, students, faculty, staff, families and friends participated in this year's All In campaign, making it the most successful giving day in Bloomsburg history. The total represents a 45% increase over last year's previous record of $313,000.
A major catalyst for this year's success was a transformational $100,000 challenge gift from Terry and JoAnn Zeigler, whose leadership support helped inspire widespread participation across the Bloomsburg community and significantly elevated the impact of the campaign.
"This year's All In Day of Giving was a powerful demonstration of what makes Bloomsburg so special - our people," said Jeff Osgood, CU president. "The overwhelming generosity of our alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends speaks volumes about the belief our community has in the life-changing opportunities Bloomsburg provides. This record-breaking support will have a direct and lasting impact on our students."
Athletics once again emerged as one of the strongest areas of donor engagement, with thousands of supporters making gifts to support Bloomsburg's athletic programs and student-athletes.
"The passion and pride of Husky Nation were on full display throughout All In," said Dr. Michael McFarland, CU-Bloomsburg director of athletics. "Our alumni, families, student-athletes, fans, coaches and supporters continue to show how deeply they care about our Huskies and their success. This level of support strengthens our programs in meaningful ways and creates new opportunities for our teams to thrive."
The campaign also saw notable growth in participation from within the campus community, including a 21% increase in gifts from faculty and staff compared to last year. Matching gifts and donor challenges continued to play a vital role throughout the campaign, helping drive momentum and maximize donor impact across a wide range of initiatives.
"To see our community come together once again - and surpass even our highest expectations - is both humbling and inspiring," said Jerome Dvorak, Bloomsburg University Foundation executive director. "This year's success reflects the extraordinary generosity of our donors, the leadership of supporters like Terry and JoAnn and the unwavering belief that investing in Bloomsburg students changes lives. Every gift, no matter the size, helped create this historic moment."
Funds raised through All In will directly support student success initiatives across campus, including scholarships, academic enrichment opportunities, athletics, arts programming and experiential learning opportunities.
