The Program

Air Force ROTC prepares students to serve as commissioned officers in the United States Air Force and United States Space Force through official curriculum, leadership labs, and physical training.

Aerospace Studies and Leadership Laboratory meet Thursdays at Wilkes University. Bloomsburg cadets attend Physical Training locally — Tuesday mornings at 0700 at the Bloomsburg Recreation Center. No travel to Wilkes for PT.

There is no service commitment during the first two years (the General Military Course). You can wait until your junior year to decide whether to continue toward a commission.

Open to all full-time college students with three or more years remaining — first-years, sophomores, juniors, and graduate students. Prior JROTC or military service may grant credit.

Graduates commission as Second Lieutenants in the Active Duty Air Force or Space Force — a guaranteed full-time leadership role (not entry-level) in a career field aligned to your degree.

Air Force ROTC is headquartered in Hollenback Hall on the Wilkes University campus at 192 S Franklin St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. Partner-school cadets attend Aerospace Studies class here on Thursdays.
