Rachel Melnick graduated from COST with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She has her MS and PhD in Plant Pathology from Penn State. She is currently the Acting Association Director for USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture in Washington DC.
While at Bloom, Rachel was the drum major of the marching band, sang in Concert Choir, and was in the Honors Program. Outside of work, She is a Girl Scout troop co-leader and archery instructor. Rachel enjoys hiking, adventures with family, and knitting and crocheting.
