Ken was born in 1975 in Canandaigua, NY. He received his BFA in Painting and Computer Art from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1999 and his MFA in Studio Art (Painting Concentration) from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2004. Ken moved to the Southern Tier of NY in 2004, and currently resides with his wife Darcy in Mansfield, PA.
Ken serves as Associate Professor of Studio Art for the Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania at the Mansfield campus, teaching courses in Drawing, Painting, 2D Design, Animation, and Gallery Management & Exhibition Design. Ken also serves as the Director of the Loomis Gallery on the Mansfield campus. In his studio work, he works with oil painting, exploring still-life, landscape, and portrait narrative genres. Ken exhibits his work on the regional and national level. Recent Arts Council and community funded workshop projects include the creation of an outdoor mural painting for Westfield, PA through the Westfield Historical Society in 2023 and the creation of an outdoor mural painting for Muncy State Correctional Institution in Muncy, PA in 2024.
