Woof! My name is Rush, and I'm not just your average K9. I'm a highly trained Belgian Malinois with a nose for detecting explosives and a passion for protecting the community.

Rush with Eli Middaugh

In 2024, I completed 22 weeks of training in explosive detection and patrol operations with my partner, Eli Middaugh, at the Atlantic County New Jersey Police K9 Training Center. There we learned how to proactively prevent threats, ensure public safety, and respond to emergencies like bomb threats and missing persons.

Our training, part of the Explosive Detection Dog Initiative, could not be possible without community support to cover start-up costs and ongoing expenses like monthly proficiency training and veterinary care. Your support can make a real difference in protecting CU-Bloomsburg — because safety is a team effort, and even heroes like me need a little help from their human friends.
