Dr. Craig Ernst, DHSc, MPH, PA-C, is a dedicated professor and physician assistant (PA) educator with more than fifteen years of full-time teaching experience. His clinical background as a cardiology PA is complemented by his formative service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia, where he taught English in the national school system. Dr. Ernst’s academic background spans anthropology, health science, healthcare management, and public health, reflecting his broad, interdisciplinary expertise.
Driven by a passion for cross-cultural understanding, Dr. Ernst’s research focuses on the cultural dimensions of healthcare and fostering cultural humility among healthcare students. He is an avid traveler and has organized and led medical Spanish programs and immersion trips abroad, providing his students with invaluable global healthcare perspectives.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Ernst enjoys hiking, roasting coffee, and spending quality time with his family. He currently resides in the Harrisburg/Hershey area with his wife and two children.
