"I chose to major in psychology in my first year as an undergraduate. I was interested in pursuing a career working with young people, either in a school or clinical setting. Since, my interests have shifted from treatment to the prevention of severe mental distress, particularly with a focus on the development of character strengths that promote resilience."
“I find it fulfilling when students share that a topic we have discussed in class has given them insight into a situation in their own lives. It is gratifying to observe that very applied marker of growth.”
