I indicated Psychology as my study of interest as an incoming freshman. At the time, I was interested in becoming a high school guidance counselor, and was still a bit unsure if I would change my major to education ... I knew I was in the right place during [my] General Psychology course. I really enjoyed the information, found myself bringing up concepts during casual interactions with friends, and I did well in the courses for the major.
I find it most fulfilling when students share that something we have discussed in class has given them insight into a situation in their own lives. It is gratifying to observe that very applied marker of growth.
