  • Brass Class: Focus on teaching and playing instruments from the brass family
  • Intro to Music Technology: Experience the music technology facilities, equipment, and resources. Location: Butler 208 (Computer Lab)

  • The Spirit & Pride of PA Marching Band: Marching arts ensemble. Location: Practice field above Steadman Theater
  • Individual or Small-group Lessons with Music Faculty: Select studio faculty will be available to meet with students for introductory lessons and/or master-classes. Location: Various studio offices
5:00 (Optional)Mountaineer Brass Band: Authentic 30-piece British brass band. Location: Steadman Theater

Participants will have the option of requesting 20- to 30-minute introductory lessons with available faculty.  Lessons will be scheduled based on faculty availability. 

The Office of Admissions will be providing instant decisions for prospective students who submit a completed application at this event! Students must provide a completed application, an official high school transcript and official SAT or ACT scores. Students who submit all the necessary materials will receive an admissions decision by the end of the day. Music majors then only need to complete an audition for full acceptance into CU-Mansfield!

Participants will have the option of registering for auditions during the afternoon (1:30 PM - 3:30 PM). Audition requirements and registration can be found on the Music Department Auditions page. Auditioning participants will be notified of music major acceptance status within 2 weeks. Auditioning participants will also be considered for early music scholarship offerings - with notification by Dec. 1.
