The Campus Equity Alliance offers a variety of awareness events throughout the academic year, including the Red Flag Campaign. The Campus Equity Alliance consists of staff, faculty, student, and community members who work together to ensure gender equity across campus.

CEA Goals

  • To promote education about gender equity and awareness of gender-based inequities and concerns to all members of the campus community.
    • To orient new faculty/staff/students to existing resources and programs of interest to gender minorities.
    • To work with appropriate offices and groups to promote learning about people of marginalized identities, as well as gender equity and justice.
    • To continue to monitor and advocate for the representation of all genders, identities, and related issues in existing and new courses.
    • To provide support, advocacy, and direction to all college constituencies in matter of gender-based issues.
  • To support the Gender Equity Center and advocacy program(s) related to gender, such as discrimination, acquaintance rape, or sexual or intellectual harassment.
    • To support initiatives related to gender.
    • To research and provide direction in dealing with gender issues in developing and upholding university policy using information gathering and assessment when appropriate.
  • To monitor and assist in the development and implementation of goals related to gender as stated by the campus.
    • To review, support, and participate in DEIB initiatives.
    • To encourage the promotion and visibility of all gender identities in campus governance and management.

The Campus Equity Alliance (CEA) is an organization that works to support gender equity on campus and provide programming to further this mission. We meet 1-2 times per month and ask for additional support at CEA-sponsored events throughout the academic year.

CEA conducts elections at the beginning and end of each Fall/Spring semester. Interested students, staff, and faculty should fill out the linked form below.

Campus Equity Alliance (CEA) invites faculty, staff, and students to nominate an outstanding female-identifying, transgender, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming student at CU-Mansfield to be celebrated in our Student Spotlight.  

We are looking to feature female-identifying students who:

  1. Promote gender equity issues
  2. Represent academic excellence
  3. Demonstrate service and leadership to the university (campus organizations, committees, athletics, etc.)

New Student Spotlights will be featured on the CEA website & social media each month.
