Clearfield Students to Conduct Survey of Regional Police Services

Beginning in mid-March, three students from the Commonwealth University-Clearfield campus will conduct door-to-door surveys of randomly selected residents asking participants about police services. This project is part of a joint effort between the Clearfield Regional Police Department and the criminal justice program at the Lock Haven main and Clearfield campuses.

A Partnership in Water Ecology

In a move that wouldn’t have been possible without integration, five Commonwealth University faculty members, representing Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield are collaborating to create a Watershed Ecology Center. In addition to creating a resource to help preserve Pennsylvania watersheds, this Center of Excellence expands students’ research opportunities and career networks.

Cell and Molecular Biology Student Receives Grant to Fund Cancer Research

MANSFIELD—When Lauren Griffith transferred to Mansfield midway through her first year, she had no idea what opportunities would await her at her new university. Now Griffith, a cell and molecular biology major, is one of the 2022 recipients of the NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant, and plans to use the funds to continue her research on pancreatic cancer.
