L.B. Wayne Trust Commits $50,000 Annually to Support CU-Mansfield Students

MANSFIELD, Pa. — Commonwealth University–Mansfield and the Mansfield University Mountaineer Foundation (MUMF) recently announced a significant philanthropic commitment from the L.B. Wayne Trust to support CU-Mansfield and its students.

The Trust has committed to an annual contribution of $50,000 to the Mansfield University Mountaineer Foundation. Based on the donor’s stated intentions, the commitment could generate more than $500,000 in cumulative support over the coming decade, helping expand educational opportunities for Mansfield students.

The commitment was made possible in large part through the relationship-building efforts of CU-Mansfield Athletic Director Andrew Petko, who helped connect the Trust’s charitable intentions with opportunities to support the University.

“This gift reflects a shared commitment to Mansfield and its students,” Petko said. “I’m grateful to the L.B. Wayne Trust for its generosity and for helping create opportunities that can make a lasting difference in students’ lives.”

The Trust’s support includes a focus on student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in athletics but may not qualify for traditional academic scholarships, helping make a Mansfield education accessible to students who might otherwise face financial barriers.
