CU-Bloomsburg holds teacher induction ceremony to celebrate new educators

This spring, Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg celebrated student teachers during the Student Teacher Induction and Pinning Ceremony held in the Kehr Union Ballroom after successfully completing their placements, the student teachers were honored during the program designed to celebrate the hard work, dedication and commitment of prospective teachers.

To begin the program, Dr. Jennifer Gurski, director, Office of Teacher Preparation, Clinical Practice and Certification, offered a welcome to all of the guests. Dr. Ann Larson, dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; Dr. Michelle Kiec, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs; and Dr. Todd Hoover, interim associate dean, also greeted the audience and offered remarks. 

The program continued with remarks from the keynote speaker, Jonathan "JJ" Cleaver, superintendent of the Bloomsburg Area School District. Kelly Raudabaugh, assistant director of the Office of Teacher Preparation, Clinical Practice and Certification conducted the recognition of the teacher candidates, with each student receiving their pin.
