Andruss Library will host a discussion of AI on Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m. in the first floor Schweiker Room. The panel discussion titled “AI Hype vs. AI Reality,” will include five university faculty members: Dennis Frohlich, Communication Studies, Media and Journalism; Ronda Mariani, Business, Innovation, and Technology; and William Calhoun, Atdhe Buja, and Dong Zhang from Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics. Join the speakers for a candid conversation separating AI hype from AI reality: what these systems can genuinely do today, where they consistently fall short, and what may still be years (or decades) away. Light refreshments will be provided.
