The Commonwealth University Office of Financial Aid is dedicated to helping students and families navigate the financial aspects of college. We offer a range of financial resources, including:

Our team is here to assist you every step of the way, from understanding your financial options to ensuring you have the support you need on your educational journey.

  • To help you see how your credits might transfer, we offer a simple online tool called the Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS). Whether you're a first-year student, a transfer student, or already enrolled at Commonwealth University, TESS shows you how your previous credits could count toward your degree.
  • Many Pennsylvania colleges and universities participate in the Pennsylvania Transfer and Articulation Center (PA TRAC). The Center allows students to see which specific courses and degree programs transfer seamlessly among each of the participating institutions.
  • Commonwealth University offers the opportunity to earn credit for your prior work, training, and life knowledge and apply it toward your degree. Students can earn credit for prior learning by demonstrating college-level knowledge from a wide range of sources such as:
    • Noncredit training courses
    • Certifications & Licensure
    • Professional Development
    • In-Service Trainings
    • Military Service

As a potential transfer student, we understand you want to get a head start on your bachelor's degree. Starting at a PA community college is a great way to earn credits, at an economical cost, and work towards a degree. With the reverse transfer agreement, a student at any PA community college can transfer to Commonwealth U and potentially finish their associate's degree, while starting on their bachelor's degree. By completing both your associate and bachelor degrees at Commonwealth U, you can increase your career opportunities and earning potential.

The transfer scholarship agreement between Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield) and Luzerne County Community College will span a term of five years, from 2025 through 2030.

For me, making the move to Bloomsburg was a big step, but one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I absolutely love my major! The campus is full of energy, the staff truly care, and I’ve found opportunities I never imagined were possible.

Transferring to Lock Haven to play D2 football was the best move I could’ve made. The campus has such a tight-knit, welcoming vibe, and the support from teammates, coaches, and professors has been awesome. It really feels like home, both on and off the field.

What I like best about Mansfield is there are so many opportunities if you’re willing to take them. I would recommend Mansfield if you’re looking for a place that really caters to you. Mansfield is a wonderful place between the students, staff and leadership. Everyone is here for the students and for you.
