The Commonwealth University Office of Financial Aid is dedicated to helping students and families navigate the financial aspects of college. We offer a range of financial resources, including:

Our team is here to assist you every step of the way, from understanding your financial options to ensuring you have the support you need on your educational journey.

  • To help you see how your credits might transfer, we offer a simple online tool called the Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS). Whether you're a first-year student, a transfer student, or already enrolled at Commonwealth University, TESS shows you how your previous credits could count toward your degree.
  • Many Pennsylvania colleges and universities participate in the PA College Transfer program. The program allows students to see which specific courses and degree programs transfer seamlessly among each of the participating institutions.
  • Commonwealth University offers the opportunity to earn credit for your prior work, training, and life knowledge and apply it toward your degree. Students can earn credit for prior learning by demonstrating college-level knowledge from a wide range of sources such as:
    • Noncredit training courses
    • Certifications & Licensure
    • Professional Development
    • In-Service Trainings
    • Military Service

As a potential transfer student, we understand you want to get a head start on your bachelor's degree. Starting at a PA community college is a great way to earn credits, at an economical cost, and work towards a degree. With the reverse transfer agreement, a student at any PA community college can transfer to Commonwealth U and potentially finish their associate's degree, while starting on their bachelor's degree. By completing both your associate and bachelor degrees at Commonwealth U, you can increase your career opportunities and earning potential.

The transfer scholarship agreement between Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield) and Lehigh Carbon Community College will span a term of five years, from 2025 through 2030.

The admissions rep and my advisor were so helpful with connecting me to every resource I needed and helping me navigate the system. They provided me with as much insight possible to be able to do my best during my first semester here. And thanks to their help, I felt prepared to take on the semester with ease, and confidence.

After completing my general education, I wanted a specialized degree in a well-respected program that was accessible and affordable to me, too. Bloomsburg was just what I was looking for. In my situation, between scholarships and grants, my attendance was at a minimal cost. Now cheaper than community college. I'm incredibly grateful for this.

It can feel hard to open your wings after attending community college, especially if you’re residing at home. I’ve fortunately met my very best friends in this place and have made enough memories to last for the rest of my life in a place that feels like home. There are weekly events to get involved, there are many on-campus employment opportunities, and the staff in every building is incredibly kind. If you're nervous, that's okay and justified. Bloomsburg has welcomed me with open arms and is ready to do the same for you.

Bloomsburg made it smooth to transfer by having an agreement with LCCC to transfer all my classes over with no problems. Bloomsburg allows you to get hands-on experience in any field, which is something I found out when I got here. It's made me fall more in love with this school and find amazing new friends from all over Pennsylvania.
