Cathy Zavacki has been a Chemistry teacher at Hillsborough High School in Hillsborough, NJ since 2000. She has her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University in Chemistry Education, a Master’s degree in education through the Regional Training Center; Gratz College and over 60 post-master’s graduate credits. Cathy is also a graduate instructor for The Regional Training Center instructing courses on both Student Motivation and Kinesthetic learning. Cathy has received recognition as Chemistry Teacher of the Year for the Princeton and Trenton sections of the American Chemical Society, Chemistry Teacher of the Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Chemical Society and along with her co-teacher, New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education Inclusion Teacher of the Year.

Cathy is a passionate advocate for inclusion and that all students can learn. She is a published author and shares her expertise by presenting throughout North America with a highlight having been the Keynote Speaker for Commonwealth's CATCH Conference for future educators.

Beyond her career, Cathy enjoys spending time with her friends and family. You'll most likely find her road tripping across the country to find the best roadside America tourist trap in her sparkly shoes. As she always says; life's short so if there's a bus out of town, put me on it.
