Spreading the Love: Bloom grad taps Husky talent for the greater good

After earning both a B.A. in anthropology from BU in 2008 and later an M.A. from the University of South Florida in applied anthropology, Mael has returned to Bloomsburg as President/CEO of United Way of Columbia and Montour Counties & Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way. She now oversees how the organization identifies and assists with the needs of the community. She also hires Huskies.

Mentoring part of the pack

The internship program not only offers Geisinger the chance to see which students may be a good fit for the program, but it allows Huskies to have an edge when it comes time to move from student to professional. VMware welcomes Husky partnership

The notion that a student from a state university such as BU would never be noticed by as prominent a company has changed. Through a shift in VMware’s recruitment strategy and utilization of his network, Digital Forensics/ITM major Charles Pearsall ‘20 became one of the first two BU Huskies to intern with the Palo Alto company. He has since been hired full-time.
