  The 2+2 Program allows students to begin at the Lock Haven or Mansfield campus for two years, then finish at the Bloomsburg campus to complete their degree.
• 3+2 (Bloomsburg) Degree Requirements
  The 3+2 Accelerated Program integrates the bachelor’s and master’s degrees into a cohesive five-year plan of study. Students begin in the B.S. in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology program and, upon meeting established criteria, are eligible for early admission into the Master of Science in Speech-Language Patholoyg (MS SLP).

  Degree Progress: Enrolled students can review program requirements and track progress toward degree completion using the university’s degree audit and advising tool, Degree Works.

The 2+2 track enables students to complete the first two years of study—focused on general education—at the Lock Haven or Mansfield campus. Students then transition to the Bloomsburg campus for the final two years to fulfill program-specific requirements and complete their degree.

Our department is pleased to share that we now offer an accelerated 3+2 pathway that allows highly qualified students to complete both the bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and the master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in approximately five years instead of the traditional six. This option is designed for motivated students who wish to move efficiently into graduate-level training and professional preparation.

How the 3+2 Pathway Works:

• Students in the accelerated pathway will complete 96 undergraduate credits during their first three years.
• After successfully completing the junior year, students admitted into the accelerated pathway will begin their graduate coursework in the fourth year.
• The first year of graduate coursework will apply both toward the Bachelor of Science degree requirements and toward the graduate degree.
• The fifth year will be devoted to the remaining graduate coursework and clinical education experiences required for completion of the master’s degree.

Eligibility and Selection:

• Students who have an overall GPA of 3.5 and meet other minimum academic requirements as outlined in the Speech-Language Pathology 3+2 degree map will be invited to apply into the graduate program through this accelerated option.
• Students who do not meet the requirements for the accelerated path may complete the traditional four-year Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and apply to the graduate program during their senior year.

Next Steps for Interested Students: During your first and second years, you will work closely with your academic advisor to:

• Plan your coursework to ensure you remain on track to reach the 96-credit benchmark by the end of your junior year.
• Monitor your GPA and discuss whether the accelerated pathway is a good fit for your academic and professional goals.
• Prepare for the internal application and recommendation process that occurs after the first semester of your junior year.
