Call for Proposals

The Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania-Lock Haven, Department of Counseling and Educational Leadership, will host their 4th Annual Virtual Conference, September 26th, 2025, with a variety of sessions running hourly, 9:00 AM EST - 4:00 PM EST via Zoom. Please see our flyer for easy distribution and proposal link!

The Conference aims to feature an assortment of topics of interest to counseling and counselor education students, clinical professionals and supervisors, counselor educators, and other health care professionals. We hope you can not only attend but also consider submitting a proposal to present. To meet the needs of state licensure requirements, some speakers will be invited to speak on topics focused on ethics, child abuse, and suicide prevention and intervention. We are pleased to welcome keynote speaker Dr. Joe Charette, President of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA).

We encourage proposal submissions from myriad roles and disciplines in mental health and counseling. This includes counselor educators, supervisors, practitioners, students (both master’s and doctoral), and other mental-health affiliated (e.g. social workers, psychologists). The conference committee and the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program are committed to mentoring students with their scholarly pursuits and welcome proposals from students as lead or co-presenters. Students will need to have a licensed professional on the proposal for CEs to be offered. Additionally, students are encouraged to submit a poster or roundtable for a solo presentation experience.
